Inaugural Session
The inaugural Session
consisted of Felicitation of preceding guests, first Key note speech was given
by Er. B.N. Saini (Director, Operations). The key note speech was based on
smart grid initiatives in india.Sh. Saini described that Smart grids can bring
in new market products also. Smart grids can convert data into useful
information and have the capability to take local decisions in distributed
manner, and can also offer self healing

The next key note speaker
Sh.V.A.Kale spoke upon Electricity markets n reform he gave emphasis on the recent
power ventures ;he quoted that NDPL is a joint venture between Tata Power
Company and the Government of Delhi, India, announced that it has joined hands
with GE Smart grid Technologies and has become the first power distribution
utility in India to realize the performance advantages of an advanced Outage
Management System. This will help NDPL respond more quickly to power outages
and provide accurate, updated restoration-time estimates. The system’s network
analysis tools identify and assess outages and gets into action even before the
consumers call to report them
Session ends with the
presentation of Faculty members and Final Year students of Electrical
Engineering.Mr.Aditya shekhar gave an impressive presentation on Personal
Carbon Trading and Final year students chanchal joshi, Kumar priyank and Shruti
gave presentation on various topics related to the discourse of the seminar. The
seminar ended with the vote of thanks of convener
